The inexpensive watches made in Hong Kong in the '60s '70s and '80s had some laughable names, often a letter or two off from a major, desirable Swiss brand, or even brands like ASEIKON, where unscrupulous folks could scratch off the a and the n and make a fake Seiko.

This Mex-Time watch is in a similar vein.  When I looked at it first, I was thinking "hmm, like Mexico time?" Then it hit me.

Mex-Time--Time-Mex...TIMEX.  Like I said, Hong Kong watches 😁

This beauty is huge, over 43 mm in size, and has all the appearance of a serious chronograph.  Appearance only that is.  This is a faux Chrono, the pusher buttons do nothing, and the subdials are fixed.  This is a time only watch.

The case is actually in good shape, The bezel shows some wear, but the crystal and dial are actually also in good shape.

It is powered by a no-jewel pin lever movement that's still winds, sets, and runs fairly decently.  It seems to be keeping time, but I'll not warrant it will do so for long.  It might continue to run fine, but it's a 50-year-old, no jewel, cheapie movement, so no guarantees, my fellow watch bros.

Sometimes these things run forever, sometimes they came broken in the box brand new.

Starting bid is tree fiddy.

Bid early and often, and you can be the only guy on the block with a Mex-Time!
