This antique vest pocket Manual of Catholic Devotions is a beautiful and rare find for collectors of religious literature.  Printed in 1925 or earlier by H.L. Kilner & Company in Philadelphia, this pocket-sized book is bound in leather and features a variety of special attributes including being a miniature edition. The book is an original and in rather shabby condition, as a testimony to the devout Catholic who inscribed it with the date of July 26, 1925 in pencil.   His name and address are also written on the back cover.  Coincidentally, his grandson was married on that date in 1969!  On the preliminary pages, it lists the notable religious in Philadelphia at the time of publication.

The devotional prayer book has barely survived through the decades.  There is obvious wear and fading, but no discernible tears.  There are loose pages just clinging to the binding and the inside back cove is totally loose from the binding.  It measures 4 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches.   Please check the photos as what you see is what we will send you.  The photos are part of the description.  Contact us with any questions before bidding.  Bear in mind it is close to 100 years old.
