This book is a fascinating pictorial history of the Bletchley to Bedford and Cambridge stretch of the cross country railway line running between Oxford and Cambridge, and it includes photographs of the stations, signals and signalling sheds, steam and diesel locomotives, rolling stock, and much more!
The Oxford & Cambridge railway line connected nearly all the main lines north of London, and was a composite of three railways that ran under the combined control of the London & North Western Railway. Nevertheless, its seperate identities were evident in the architecture of its stations.
