This is a fine French Art Nouveau Bronze and Rosewood handle on a French Parasol or Umbrella from about 1895.
The Bronze handle is 3" long and 2" wide, the carved Rosewood shaft is 12" long and 3/4" wide.
The Rosewood shaft is nicely carved with flowers and leaves.
The metal frame is 27 3/8" long with the tip, the total length with the handle and shaft, is 42 3/8" long.
The metal frame works fine and locks open.
Everything is in very good condition, no cracks, dents or significant scratches.
The original black Silk fabric is almost completely missing.
The original Silk tassel, which is shedding and cord are still attached, about 10" long.
This is a fairly rare find and ready to be have new fabric attached.
