    Replacement Guideline

    Ball joints

    1. Purchase the correct replacement ball joint assembly for your vehicle.
    2. Remove the wheel and access the ball joint.
    3. Soak all the bolts with WD-40 or PB Blaster.
    4. Pull the cotter pin and loosen the large castellated nut.
    5. Pop loose the ball joint. 
    6. Remove the allen bolts and slide the control arm free. 
    7. Guide the new joint through the knuckle hole.
    8. Bolt the joint into place using the hardware included.
    9. Torque the bolts to the proper specifications.
    10. Screw in the new grease fitting and pump grease into the assembly.

    Control Arms

    1. lift the vehicle using a car lift, ideally a wheel-free four-post car lift
    2. loosen and remove the corresponding stabiliser fixing screws.
    3. Loosen the ball joint at the steering knuckle with a suitable special tool (e.g. a puller).
    4. Remove the old control arm
    5. Clean the mounting flange of the ball joint pin on the steering knuckle with sandpaper and then with brake cleaner
    6. Fit the new control arm with the supplied accessories and attach new fixing screws and nuts.
    7. Reattach the stabilizer and, if applicable, the leveling sensor for headlight leveling to the control arm.
    8. lower the vehicle until the suspension is compressed
    9. Tighten the fixing screws with the torque stipulated by the vehicle manufacturer.
    10. Lower the vehicle all the way.
    11. Measure the chassis and adjust if necessary.
    12. Check and, if necessary, adjust the headlight settings on vehicles with automatic headlight leveling where the leveling sensor is attached to the control arm.
    13. To conclude, test-drive the vehicle.

    Sway bars

    1. To hold the stud on the end of the sway bar link while adding the new lock nut. 
    2. Using the wrench, install the new lock nut, making sure to wrench it the whole way.
    3. With the sway bar link in position, put the nut on using your hand. 
    4. Wrench the nut tight to the vehicle manufacturer recommended torque values
    5. Changing wrenches as needed to fit the new sway bar link nut.
