Signed and Remarked DC Comics Absolute Swamp Thing HC by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson
This item is a brand new copy of the Absolute Swamp Thing hardcover graphic novel by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson, released by DC Comics in 2022. This collection has been remastered and re-colored in an brand new hardcover with a slip case, with master colorist Jose Villarrubia returning the colors on these iconic comics to their original glory. The slipcase for the book is roughly 13 inches tall, 8.5 inches deep, and 1.5 inches thick. The book collects the first appearance of Swamp Thing (The House of Secrets #92) as well as issues #1-13 of the titular Swamp Thing comic. This special version of the comic comes both signed and with an original image from colorist Jose Villarrubia. Each image is unique and original, done at an in-store signing shortly after the books release. The book is brand new and comes with the original shipper box, but has been opened to allow Villarrubia to sign and color the remark.
About Jose Villarrubia:
Harvey Award winning artist José Villarrubia is internationally known for his comics color work and editing. He has also been nominated for the Eisner Award twice and regularly works for all the major American comic publishers (Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Dark Horse Publishing, Image Comics) as a colorist and digital painter. Known for his work on Promethea, Sentry, Sweet Tooth, Hellshock, and Get Jiro, he was the artist of choice to restore/recolor the brand new Absolute Swamp Thing by DC Comics. He has also been brought in to do the same by the Corben Estate for much of the Richard Corben Library. He is a Professor at Maryland Institute College of Art.
