For your consideration is a great piece of history if you like German-American Ballads.  And who doesn't?  "Hans Breitmann's Ballads by Charles G. Leland, Complete in One Volume".  Hardcover, gold gilt on top, 1869 printing making it a first edition and likely a first printing.  5.75" x 8.25", 118 pages.  This is all in English, as Hans was a fictional character created by Charles Godfrey Leland.

Overall condition is full of character as this book should be.  Has handling wear on the covers and edges as shown, but not more than expected for the age.  Nice green boards with gold details and the super-fun drawing of Hans.  Covers are well-attached with strong hinges, no writing internally other than the pencil inscription shown, pages have age-appropriate tanning as any 150+ year old book should have.  The binding is nice and tight with no missing or loose pages.  Ready to be read for another 150+ years!  We should all be so lucky to look this good at this age.
