First volume, collecting six issues, of this scholarly journal of occult, philosophic, and scientific research "devoted to a scientific examination of the laws of being." Leander Edmund Whipple (1848-1916) was a practicing metaphysician in New York City who in addition to editing this journal published several works on mental science and healing. Articles in this collection include "The Telekinetic Theory of Levitation," "Intuition and Divination," "The Higher Aspects of Hypnotism," and others.
