SINGLE BUTTON CLOSES THE REAR.
LABELED ON THE INTERIOR WITH A WONDERFUL PURPLE SILK LABEL
CONDITION: WAISTBAND WAS REINFORCED WITH A SMALL LENGTH OF SILK GROSGRAIN ON EACH SIDE OF THE REAR. THERE IS A GROUPING OF SURFACE PIN PRICKS AT THE BOTTOM CENTER REAR JUST ABOVE THE RUFFLE, POSSIBLY FROM ATTACHING A SASH. THERE IS AN INNER RUFFLE LINING THE INNER HEM THAT IS UNSEEN WHEN WORN WITH PORTIONS MISSING AND SHOWS SMALL SPLIT FRAYS AND HOLES. NO REAL NEED TO REMOVE IT AS IT IS COMPLETELY UNSEEN WHEN WORN BUT COULD BE TRIMMED OFF IF DESIRED.
