Very cool vintage Tolkien paperback. This is a rare 5th printing of the Hobbit from Ballantine Books, featuring a lion on the cover. This lion was removed from later printings, as apparently lions do not belong in Middle Earth. Binding is stressed but sound. Some cover wear. Previous owner’s name & address label on the inside of the front cover. Everything as pictured. Precious.
