LOADED 90s Samick Guitar BODY ⚫ SSS Strat-Like Electric DIY Project Parts/Repair
⚠️ Note that this is a parts/repair listing, with issues listed below. I will be attempting to repair or complete some of the issues before it sells, and will update the listing and price as I do so.
👍 Very cool 1995 Samick LOADED strat-style guitar body. The year is based on online serial number decoders, and the logo style on the neck plate suggests early-to-mid 1990's.
It includes all parts shown in the photos, including the neck plate and screws. No tremolo bar is included. Its neck pocket is approximately 2¼" wide, and ⅝" deep.
✨ There is a good bit of general wear, stickers, and discoloration. Overall, it's quite gnarly, but kind of cool in that way.
✔️ This is a parts/repair listing, with at least the following issues...
One saddle is missing its spring, and has an allen wrench screw, that appears a bit too long- ➤ I found the proper saddle screw and its spring, so I replaced the hex screw. I have not updated the photos yet.
- One pickup screw and spring is missing
The pickup selector is missing its plastic tip - ➤ I found a white tip for the pickup selector. It doesn't have the yellowing that the other controls have. I have not updated the photos yet.
- The rear tremolo cover and screws are missing
The input jack has one wire that became disconnected while I was tightening the jack nut. (The pickups seemed to be working before that happened, but I can't re-test right now to confirm.)- ➤ I finally got the input jack connected, and the electronics work well. I also cleaned and lubricated the pots, since they were a little bit scratchy. If any scratchiness returns, it should be minor, but it'll be the buyer's responsibility.
This represents a best effort to describe all its issues, however there could be other issues that I didn't notice, and so while I think this is generally complete, the buyer accepts all responsibility for any other problems I didn't see.
