6BE6 Vacuum Tube, GE, Used, B&K 707 Tested: Good

Note: Don't be fooled by the RCA box! This is a GE tube.

Testing procedure:

Each tube has been tested for dynamic mutual conductance on my B&K 707 tube tester, as well as screened for shorts and leakage. They are then subsequently subjected to the 707's "Life Test," which offers an indication of remaining useful life. A "Life Test" reading very near or greater than the mutual conductance reading indicates a tube in excellent condition, and will be presumed NOS absent any contrary evidence. For reference, B&K describe a life reading of 25% below the mutual conductance test to be "nearing the end of its useful service life."

I've labeled each tube box with a sticker indicating its test results. "M" for the mutual conductance test, "L" for the life test. The meter scale runs from 0 to 120, so any indication beyond that will be marked "120+". It should be noted that units for both measurements are undefined (not Mu, not Gm,) and are only technically useful in recording how a given tube tests on a B&K 707.

Returns, Troubleshooting, and Liability:

All tubes (unless explicitly sold "for parts or not working.") are guaranteed to arrive in good working order, as tested and described, or else may be returned, replaced, and/or refunded.

Any tubes in this listing have been tested per the procedure above above, unless otherwise noted. That said, the best test for a tube is real life service. It's also true that lots of tube equipment is old and in need of repair well beyond new tubes. If a tube I've sold you fails to meet expectations, please do due diligence to determine if it is really the tube, or rather the surrounding equipment which is at fault. Sometimes equipment will damage tubes, and sometimes tubes will even damage equipment. While I can guarantee a tube is short-free when I ship it, I can't guarantee it will remain that way forever. In that respect, you must use these tubes at your own risk. I also expect that anyone purchasing vacuum tubes is familiar with, and able to safely navigate their inherent hazards, including but not limited to the possibility of implosion, electric shock, exposure to heavy metals, and radiation.

Shipping:

Shipping is buyer-paid, and determined by location, package volume, and weight. Combined shipping discounts are automatically available for almost every item, but only if purchased in a single transaction (all in the same shopping cart.) While the automatic combined shipping discount is quick and easy, if you would like, feel free to request an invoice prior to purchase for an as-packed shipping quote, which may be less expensive.

Payment:

Payment is expected within 4 calendar days of your purchase, unless you notify me you're holding out for combined shipping. I can only accept payment through eBay.
