A super nice to near mint condition USMC 1915 Haitian Campaign Medal.   All 1915 Haitian Campaign Medals had U.S. Navy reverses.  Serial numbers determine if they were issued to Navy or Marine Corps personnel.  Original drape and brooch, the sewn tack that kept the ribbon closed at the brooch is almost undone, with a small amount of the tack left holding. The planchet is in near mint condition, you could not ask for a better example.  According to 'The Gleim Medal Letters 1971-1997,' page 137, this medal falls in the USMC range of medals.  For additional information see 'The Call of Duty,' 1994 edition, p. 300 and see the 2000 edition of "Vernon's Collectors' Guide,' pg. 477, valued at $350 in 2000, for numbers below 3000, meaning those for Sailors, and not those for Marines.  A nice addition to your medal collection or USMC collection.  I only ship Priority Mail, as the USPS confirms delivery.  I will accept returns, if I make a serious mistake in the description.  No buyer's remorse.  Item must be returned in the same condition as sent, no polishing, cleaning or alterations.  Must be back in my hands 14 days from your receipt of the item.  Description and photos speak for the item.  Good Luck.  Shipping to USA only.
