Beatles "White Album" 30th Anniversary Commemorative Release PROMO KIT!

Now we are talking a RARE ITEM! We've only seen two others for sale...ever!

This incredible PROMO KIT was released in November of 1998 by the Parlophone Press Office under the direction of Murray Chalmers, and the kit was made in the UK (and says so in print on jacket). Capitol/Apple is reported to have also secured a very small number of these kits to promote the 30th Anniversary release of the White Album on CD. This is probably one of those kits, channeled through Capitol/Apple.

The kit cover (12.5x12.5x.5) resembles an album jacket, THE famous album jacket! The jacket is a book stock grade white cardboard with the famous EMBOSSED name of the group, THE BEATLES, on the jacket front. (Sorry, they didn't number these.) But on the inside of the cover is a custom-made slot for the CD set itself. (Think cardboard tray for the Get Back book in the initial Let It Be UK releases) The jacket has a few minor creases on the top and rightside spine from its initial mailing, but does not hinder the incredible look of this piece. I have tried to keep this in pristine condition since obtaining it in 1998.

The top-loading CD set (complete with CDs, black inner sleeves, mini photos, and mini poster) was not in shrink wrap in this kit, but has the stiff plastic slip case. The CD set is numbered "No. 0036773"!

There is also a folder flap on the left inside of the jacket with five (5) stapled pages of text to promote the CD release. Under the flap you'll also find the four (4) well known photographs of John, Pail, George, and Ringo from 1968. The uniqueness of these are that they measure 11.5" x 8", not the 10.75" x 7.75" photos found in the vinyl releases of the album. Wow!

This PROMO KIT is rare as Hen's Teeth, you won't see too many of these pass this way. I am liquidating my Beatles' collection due to medical issues....don't let this go to another collector! BUY IT NOW!
