Offering an antique glove or chocolate box with an unusual petit point covered top - later seemed to have multiple uses as a pencil box as it has round ink stains from some wax or ink stamp in the interior.  Hard paper as cardboard - with a faux moire watermark design.   It measures 8.5" long at the top, 3.25" wide and 2.25" deep.  In good condition with soiling - the sides to the top look as if they're the original brown - as the gold border is still there - don't think any paper is missing but think its simply how it was made.
