William Martin Beauchamp (1830 - 1925) was an Episcopal clergyman and one of the foremost historians and researchers of New York Indian archaeology and ethnology.  He wrote over a dozen articles on specific aspects of New York Indian history and the articles used by them.  (I have other Beauchamp articles/books in my other ebay listings.)  Arthur Parker was another noted American archaeologist, especially in the state of New York.  Among other things, he founded the Society of American Indians, was director of the Rochester Museum of Arts and Sciences, and was the first president of the Society for American Archaeology.  He was part Seneca.
