Interesting World War I US Air Service photograph featuring a biplane with the pilot in the cockpit - identified on the back in pencil as "Capt. Osborne". The photograph measures approximately 5 5/16" x 3 1/8", and is of a thinner paper than what we normally see on period photographs. It was glued in a photographic album at one time, with remnants of the black paper still attached. Especially nice content with this one. Rare.

The picture remains in fair condition, showing signs of age, use, and wear. Age toning, edge and corner wear is evident. There is a noticeable hole in the photograph, as seen. Please see the pictures for more detail.
