This is the original antique edition of this often reprinted study. Published for The American Folk Lore Society by G.E. Stechert & Co.; 1897, Volume 5. Bound in chocolate brown cloth with gilt stripes on cover and gilt titling to spine. With Introduction, extensive Notes, Texts Interlinear Translations, Melodies, black and white photos, color plates and map.
In lovely condition for its 127 years, with square corner tips and only a touch of rubbing to spine ends and tips of corners. Inside, black paper on end papers is a little separated at gutter, but in no way effects how well bound it is. NO internal marks, labels, inscriptions or tears. From a smoke free home.
