THANK YOU for considering our extra ornate and elegant, gold-boat style, bright and finely collectible condition Fahys “Montauk” model, 16 size hunter case, 20 year highly engraved and engine turned rose gold fill, pendant set and slot right, fancy dress or pre-1900s railroad case! Here’s a very beautiful and gold-laden hunter featuring small centered “shield” style cartouche areas, the one in front blank; in back with either a church or a millhouse shown, both framed in four descending “chain” patters, then crisp, unreduced engine turning interwoven with fancy Nouveau floral patterns, engine-turned borders, smooth band, stout and tapered pendant and extra fancy original crown and bow!! This premium and highly attractive hunter case is in fully serviceable condition. I have restored and detailed this case right down to the three hinges so you get the best looking and working case possible! The three covers are all tightly hinged, open correctly to 90 degrees only, and all three shut tight. The opening latch works as intended and the lift spring pops the front cover open all the way. The correct and matching original crown's fluting is deep and defined for a tight, sure grip, and it turns freely and extracts properly to set pendant-set time. The bow is its correct and matching original smooth "omega" or "french" style, shows zero brass or damage, and holds tight to positions. The crystal is a thin acrylic model and super clear with no issues. This fine hunter case fits all standard-featured pendant-set and lever-set movements. The model shows exceptionally minimal wear, including very, very light and faint fine to micro-fine scratching, no marrings or doodlings on any surface - inside or out, zero brass anywhere - inside or out, and absolutely, positively no sign of any dents, dings, dimples or depressions!
