The Aji Lemon pepper (also known as the Lemon Drop pepper) is a very popular pepper due to spicy flavor and colorful appearance. The heat level is significant, but not overbearing. The Aji Lemon pepper has the perfect blend of citrus tang and peppery spice, making it a very popular pepper for hot salsas and citrus-based hot sauces. Aji Lemon peppers grow on high yielding plants that can reach 3 feet in height. The Aji Lemon pepper averages about 100,000 to 150,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), which is not quite as hot as the Habanero pepper.   The peppers, which grow to about two to three inches in length, start off green and mature to a golden yellow color. During the summer months, Aji Lemon pepper plants bloom white flowers, making them beautiful plants that add a burst of bright color to any garden. For those looking for a different yellow pepper with a higher heat rating Scoville Scale, we recommend the Yellow 7 Pot, Fatalii, or Yellow Ghost pepper.

At Tyler Farms, we grow our plants the old fashioned way: no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, and we only use all natural fertilizers such as worm castings and fish emulsion.
