This postcard shows the Hawk Street Viaduct that spanned the Sheridan Hollow in Albany, New York. The viaduct was built in 1890, and served the community until it was demolished in 1970. Beginning in 1968, the bridge was limited to pedestrian traffic only, as the viaduct was no longer safe for heavy traffic after years of neglect.
