Early Hachette printing [maybe 1st] with single elephant cover design, red cloth, double Grand in-8.  In french, all edges gilt, blue end pages,  With numerous illustrations by Riou and engravings by Pannemaker.  Back cover type Bottin (r).

Paris:  Librairie Hachette (1917),  620 pages.

A Good copy with sunned spine, Darkened gilt on cover and top edge, soil spots on back cover, fraying spine ends.  Bookplate on front paste down, previous owner's info on half title page dated 1920.
