Please note that with the used military surplus that even though it may say no noted damage there may be a small tear, snag or spot that I didn't notice. They are used military surplus that may be over 50 years old and may have been shipped across the world. If you're looking for something perfect this may not be for you.
In the case of my military surplus items I would like to stress that you are purchasing military surplus from around the world. Unless the item states that it is new, NOS condition in packaging items in non or un-issued condition can be 50 years old or more. They will not show wear or signs of use but they have been stored for years and shipped around the world so they will show signs of storage and may have that military surplus smell.

British Military blue wool Commando sweater, S to XL, Grade 1 cd., free shipping


These are genuine British Military blue wool crew neck or slight v-neck Commando sweaters in sizes 100--106-112. Good to excellent used British military surplus condition.  Most show no major wear, damage or stains. Condition is priced accordingly.

These are used British military surplus and as such, some were improperly washed and shrunk. I have adjusted the sizing to U.S. Standard sizing. These can be machine washed in the newer washing machines on the wool setting.

They feature a tight knit 80% wool, 20% nylon construction, reinforced shoulder and elbow patches, left sleeve pen pocket, ribbed knit waist and sleeve cuffs and a beautiful blue/gray color as seen in photos 2 through 5.

All were made in the United Kingdom by British military contractors for the British military services.

Sizing is just my own estimation in the sizing tags. Please compare the below measurements to a heavy sweater that fits you well prior to placing an order. Returns for the wrong size are expensive for you and for me.

The Small/Regular/Tall - is actually a shrunk 112cm sweater. It has an approximate chest size of 34 1/2" as measured all of the way around the outside of the sweater from just below the armpits or 17 1/4" pit to pit. The shoulders are 18" measured from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. The sleeves are 26 1/2" as measured from the outer edge of the shoulder seam to the sleeve tip (note that these can be easily cuffed up if needed) and length is 28" measured from the seam below the collar to the bottom of the sweater. This should easily fit a U.S. Standard size Small Regular or Tall. Note that there is also quite a bit of stretch to these, measurements are taken without stretching.

The Medium/Regular - are also a shrunk 112cm sweater. They have an approximate chest size of 38" to 40" as measured all of the way around the outside of the sweater from just below the armpits or 19" to 20" pit to pit. The shoulders are 18" measured from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. The sleeves are 25" as measured from the outer edge of the shoulder seam to the sleeve tip (note that these can be easily cuffed up if needed) and length is 25" measured from the seam below the collar to the bottom of the sweater. This should easily fit a U.S. Standard size Medium Regular. Note that there is also quite a bit of stretch to these, measurements are taken without stretching.

The Large/Regular - is actually a shrunk 112cm sweater. It has an approximate chest size of 43" as measured all of the way around the outside of the sweater from just below the armpits or 21 1/2" pit to pit. The shoulders are 19" measured from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. The sleeves are 25 1/2" as measured from the outer edge of the shoulder seam to the sleeve tip (note that these can be easily cuffed up if needed) and length is 25" measured from the seam below the collar to the bottom of the sweater. This should easily fit a U.S. Standard size Large Regular. Note that there is also quite a bit of stretch to these, measurements are taken without stretching.

The Large/Regular - in good condition has more pilling than the rest and is a 100cm sweater. It has an approximate chest size of 46" as measured all of the way around the outside of the sweater from just below the armpits or 23" pit to pit. The shoulders are 18" measured from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. The sleeves are 24 1/2" as measured from the outer edge of the shoulder seam to the sleeve tip (note that these can be easily cuffed up if needed) and length is 24" measured from the seam below the collar to the bottom of the sweater. This should easily fit a U.S. Standard size Large Regular. Note that there is also quite a bit of stretch to these, measurements are taken without stretching.

The Large/Regular/Tall - are either 106cm or 112cm sweaters. The sizing is almost identical and all are in very good to excellent condition. They have an approximate chest size of 46" as measured all of the way around the outside of the sweater from just below the armpits or 23" pit to pit. The shoulders are 19 1/2" measured from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. The sleeves are 26 1/2" as measured from the outer edge of the shoulder seam to the sleeve tip (note that these can be easily cuffed up if needed) and length is 27" to 30" measured from the seam below the collar to the bottom of the sweater. This should easily fit a U.S. Standard size Large Regular/Tall and may fit most XL sizes. Note that there is also quite a bit of stretch to these, measurements are taken without stretching. The last XL/Regular/Tall has soiling on the collar that may or may not wash out. I have discounted it accordingly.

The XL/Regular/Tall - are in very good condition and are all 112cm sweaters. They have an approximate chest size of 47" as measured all of the way around the outside of the sweater from just below the armpits or 23 1/2" pit to pit. The shoulders are 19 1/2" measured from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. The sleeves are 28" as measured from the outer edge of the shoulder seam to the sleeve tip (note that these can be easily cuffed up if needed) and length is 29" measured from the seam below the collar to the bottom of the sweater. This should easily fit a U.S. Standard size XL/Regular/Tall. Note that there is also quite a bit of stretch to these, measurements are taken without stretching.
