Offered is the vintage book "Have You Heard the Cricket Song", written by Winston O. Abbott and published in 1973 by Inspiration House in South Windsor, Connecticut. The book is a stated third printing, just two years after the original copyright date. This book of "poetic prose" has numerous black and white drawings by Bette Eaton Bossen, some full-page. It has been signed by both the author and the illustrator. The original dust jacket is included.

The thin book is approx. 8 1/4" x 5 3/4". The pages are unnumbered but there are approx. 64. The book is in very good to excellent condition. The dust jacket has yellowed. It has one very small tear at the bottom front and some slight raggedness along the top and bottom edges, mainly near the spine but is otherwise undamaged. The yellow picture hard cover has no wear, the corners sharp. The picture on the front and the words on the spine are vivid. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back covers. The endpapers are clean. A previous owner has written her name and date of purchase on the first blank page, underneath the original hand-written price. I see no missing or torn pages and all of the pages are well-attached to the binding, clean but browning. The top page edges are slightly soiled, seen when the book is closed. I see no writing in the book other than the author and illustrator's signatures and the price already mentioned.

I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions. I will do my best to answer them!
