Throat Plate Insert for Skil TS6307 Table Saw Zero Clearance

Improve the performance and safety of your Skil TS6307 Table Saw with our Zero Clearance Throat Plate Insert. Designed to provide a precise, snug fit, this insert helps to prevent chips and sawdust from escaping through the throat plate opening, which can improve the overall quality of your cuts and reduce the risk of injury.

  • Does not require the riving knife to be removed (which you can't really anyway)
  • Adds DeWalt inspired twist lock (requires 5mm button head screw)
  • Lets the blade be used at 45 degrees (reduced cut capacity though)
  • Requires you to cut your own slot, but keeps clearance for the riving knife
  • Adds four 5mm set screw holes to fine-tune plate flatness to the table (M5x5mm worked great) just like the stock plate

Some sanding or chiseling might be needed to get the two halves to align and be totally flat. Glue (I used super glue and seems to be hold up fine so far) is recommended to keep everything together. While gluing the two halves together support it on a flat surface (top/flat side down) with a weight to prevent it bowing. Threads are 3D modeled in, but if you end up chasing them with an M5 tap make sure not to tap it all the way through! The set screws require some friction in order to stay in place while cutting. Print with the top side down to ensure a flat top surface.

This is a two-piece design that joins together using two snug geometric insets.

  • 3D Printed from a durable, chemical-proof composite
