Olympus Trip 35 - Vintage Summer design

Inspired by classic Victorian beach design and colour palette, this little gem has that eye popping style throughout. With a splashproof, wipe clean silicone front cover sporting the classic British beach stripes and a durable leather back for hard wearing, this camera is the perfect summer beach carry. The Victorian colours are carried through to the front text and even the shutter button, making this a camera that stands out as one of the most stylish pieces of photography equipment you'll ever lay eyes on.

The Olympus Trip 35 was introduced in 1967 and was so popular that it stayed in production for over a decade and a half!

There’s good reason for this camera not only becoming popular on release but standing the test of time and remaining one of the most sought after point and shoots to this day.

Originally designed to be a travel camera and small enough to pack in a suitcase, the Trip 35 is now a main shooter for many and has spawned a whole cult of 35mm film shooters that take this little gem out at night and partake in the hobby of ‘night tripping’. Setting this camera to f2.8 with some ISO 800 film and shooting urban areas at night.

Shooting the trip in day or night, this camera is well documented as a great fun camera to use and it’s simple operation makes sure of that at every step.

It comes with a surprisingly sharp 40mm f/2.8 Zuiko lens which has an easy-to-understand zone focusing system that gives you options from 1m to infinity. Combined with the shutter speeds of 1/40 sec. and 1/200 sec. and ISO ranges from 25 to 400 the Trip 35 will always take a well exposed photo. In fact, in A mode, it won’t let you take a bad exposure thanks to the little red flag and locking mechanism that will pop up and stop you in your tracks if you’re about to take a image that’s too dark. A great little touch is that in the viewfinder is a little peep hole that lets you read the selected focus distance and shutter mode directly off the lens without having to take it away from your eye.

Although discontinued in 1984, the Trip 35 is still a well-loved compact camera for the fuss-free shooting experience and sharp, high-quality photos it captures.

Every camera I sell has been rigorously tested and repaired where needed. You can be sure that when you receive yours that it will function fully as designed, as if fresh from the production line. I do not sell cameras that don’t work (unlike some of the sellers that simply re-skin them and send them out), and each one has been carefully redecorated to fit with the chosen design theme, using high quality 100% leather unless stated otherwise.
