This is an original old WWI era photograph.  This photo has a marking at the lower right reading "U.S. Official."  The photo measures approximately 8" by 10" in size and is in a black wooden frame from the era with paper backing and label from the framing shop.  I didn't want to disassemble this antique frame to view the back of the photo...so additional information about the photo's provenance or location aren't known.  

The photo features a large group of troops standing in front of a destroyed building with a sign reading "Orts Komandantur."  There are a couple additional signs on the building with text that is difficult to make out.

As mentioned, the photo is still in a vintage frame so trying to determine precise condition characteristics is difficult.  Through the glass, it is apparent that the photo does have some light paper wrinkles and some mild creases throughout.  There is also some crackling and patches of wear to the photo gloss towards the bottom.
