Vile Bodies by Evelyn Waugh. This is the stated First Modern Library Edition published in 1933.

The book itself is in very good condition for its age. Spine tips a little bumped and pushed. Board edges and tips slightly bumped, worn, and faded. A few pages have minor creases. Bottom corners of pages of 214-215 have creases with short closed tears in creases. Pages otherwise appear to be in great shape with age toning, particularly near edges, and perhaps a small blemish here or there.

Dust jacket is in good condition for its age, except for the 1.5” x 1” tear/chip missing from the rear panel near flap fold. Some of the wording above the large tear has also been rubbed off and affected. Chipping with loss, primarily along top edge, foot of spine, and fold creases. A few very short closed tears. Some age toning and soiling/rubbing. Spine sun darkened. See pics to judge condition for yourself.

Overall, a pretty nice example of a collectible book, in a decent dust jacket. Quite rare with jacket.
