Flyer for Keith Morris’s last show with Black Flag. The bill features an amazing mismatch, with BF opening for British ska band Madness.

This flyer was created by Keith Morris. He also designed flyers for BF's first and second shows. That's his handwriting to the right and on bottom of this flyer.

This is guaranteed to be an original flyer created before the show. It comes with a Statement of Provenance by Ryan Richardson. As any experienced flyer collector knows, Ryan is hardcore when it comes to verifying the authenticity of punk flyers before he sells them. In this particular case, he sourced the flyer from the collection of Terry Nelson, pioneering punk DJ in Chicago who corresponded with BF in 1979.

Beyond Ryan's statement, there are other tell tale signs confirming authenticity. There were two toner types used in photocopy machines in the late 1970's and early 1980's. One produced a waxy sheen. The other had a slightly textured matte finish. Modern copiers cannot produce either look. This flyer has the slightly textured matte finish. The details of the image are crisp, and not degenerated. The solid black areas have a subtle and slight density loss that is consistent with genuine aging. There is no doubt. This is the real deal.

The flyer was previously folded, but stored flat. Overall, in attractive shape. See scan of both sides for condition.
