This 6V6GT tube stereo 12 Watt per channel push-pull power amplifier was originally paired with a Heathkit SP-2 Tube preamp in a homemade cabinet for PA or guitar use. I have been using it as a home audio amp and it works very well. Many of the late1950's and early 1960's stereo power amps were designed for multi- purpose use. It sounds great with an FM Tuner as the source. It sounds full, detailed, transparent, warm, and projects a large deep soundstage. It is difficult to find these in stereo, especially with one 5Y3GT rectifier tube per channel. It sounds as good as tube amps I have owned that are much more expensive.

There is a low-level hum from both channels with or without being connected to a source. The hum is equal in both channels and is inaudible with low level music. A recap should eliminate the hum. No distortion or other issues. The power supply transformer is massive and very heavy. All of the tubes are included. They are all USA made and test very strong, no shorts or gas, on my Eico 635 Tube Tester. The Power cord is original and in good condition. There is an output level control for each channel. The left and right
channel speaker leads are attached to the appropriate output screws. The black leads are negative. There is a ground lead that is attached to the frame which can ne attached to the preamp. I tried it attached and unattached, no difference in the low-level hum.

The brand and model are unknown, came from an estate sale. The original teal green paint is in very good condition. This had a manufacturer and model label on the back but most of it has been removed.
