My rating system for children's clothing:
NWT/NWOT – new with tags/new without tags. Items are brand new and have never been worn.
EUC – excellent used condition. Items have been worn and washed maybe just once or perhaps a few times but still look as good as the first time they were washed.
Great Used Condition – Items have obviously been worn and washed but still have a ton of life left and are not yet past their prime.
Good Used Condition – Items have been worn and washed several times. I consider these items past their “prime” but not worn out. Probably not suitable for dress up or professional pictures but are still presentable in public. These still pass the WWGT (what would Grandma think?) test. Grandma is pretty particular and not afraid to tell me if my kids look like rag-a-muffins.
Fair/Play Condition – I do not list items that have rips, holes, stains, broken zippers, etc. I keep a couple of “play” outfits in each size for when Dad or Grandpa has a “helper” for painting or cleaning fish or some other messy project. When these are outgrown at our house, they get sent to our local fabric recycler. If the outfit is such a mess that I don’t care if it gets covered with paint or fish guts – I don’t expect that you’d want it for your child either!
