THE STRAND MAGAZINE
Description

The Strand Magazine was a monthly British magazine founded by George Newnes and published between 1891 and 1950. Selling 500,000 copies a month this was an extremely popular publication.

Its most famous contributor was Arthur Conan Doyle with the popular Sherlock Holmes stories.

I am selling a number of volumes of this insight into late Victorian/Edwardian life.

This book covers the period July to December 1894 and contains Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Medal of Brigadier Gerard" and "The Lord of Chateau Noir".

Apart from its most famous contributor the book contains numerous interesting non-fictional and fictional articles and stories with many pictures, photographs and some cartoons. For a full list please see the photographs of the index.
