This book is very good plus in a bound black leather with gold gilded lettering on spine and gold gilded Whaling Ship on front cover. This book's binding was by Bayntun which is the firm founded by George Bayntun in Bath in 1894, and Riviere founded by Robert Riviere in London in 1840. Bindings from these two binderies are highly sought after by collectors. Illustrations are by Rockwell Kent. Published in 1930 by Random House. All Edges are gold gilded. A beautiful copy of Herman Melville"s masterpiece. Slight browning of interior pages.
