1988 Gibson Bill Lawrence designed "The Original" HB-R humbucker with gold cover. Cover shows almost zero wear. These pickups were original equipment in many Gibson models from late '88 to early '90. This particular unit came from a 1988 Les Paul Custom with a July 1988 build date, so it's an early example. Works perfectly, sounds great, warm and full. These pickups weren't used long, and purists at the time thought the circuit board design was kind of weird. They seem far more appreciated now. A lot were swapped out and lost to history, which makes them difficult to find now, especially in this condition. Whether you're looking for a correct pickup to restore a guitar of that period or just a great sounding vintage Gibson neck pickup, this one certainly fits the bill. This one has a 2 wire lead, but the circuit board design makes the switch to four conductors an easy mod if that's what you're after. DC resistance is 7.11 kOhms. Correct original screws specific to this model also included.  US only, no international bidders.
