Opening Ceremonies of the New York and Brooklyn Bridge, May 24th, 1883

Very good condition for this antique book. It's well built (like the bridge). Sturdy dark blue cloth-covered boards with fancy gilt lettering and bevelled edges. Some edge wear and bumping at the corners (see photos). All page edges are gilt. Floral pastedowns are unmarked. Hinges are solid with no cracks. Free endpapers have some foxing, as does the frontispiece illustration and its protective tissue. Remaining pages are clean and clear. Includes a list of trustees and officers of the New York and Brooklyn Bridge, as well as a "Programme of Exercises".
