This watch from the famous Jaeger-LeCoultre Swiss manufacturer is an American release from the mid 1950s. As indicated on the inside of the caseback, although the components are Swiss made, for tax reasons JLC cased this model in the USA and opted to use the shortened name LeCoultre. The piece arrived to me partially disassembled and in a dire need of a cleaning. I left the dial untouched to preserve the authenticity of the piece, which has aged very nicely. The case has some minor blemishes, mostly on the case back. A thorough examination reveals a barely noticeable dent on the case back. This does not appear to affect the functioning of the base movement or the bumper automatic works within. After a service, this watch is running very well, especially considering it is nearly 75 years old! Consider adding this beautiful piece of horological history to your collection. And, of course, feel free to reach out with any questions. Happy to provide additional photos.
