Harvested in Iowa this fall with my son. We are licensed to hunt, and the goose was harvested legally. Not CITES protected, I am legally allowed to sell my goose skins for fly Tying.

Carefully skinned. Humerus and radius/ulna wing bones removed. I’ve included a couple pictures of under the wing that tries to show this. Borax dried. Not washed. The neck is the thinnest part of the skin, and is fragile. Be careful when handling. These are harvested by hunting. Because of this, not all feathers will be attached. Please look over pictures carefully. I’ve included plenty of photos to show every aspect of the bird. You will get the skin as depicted in the pictures. It’s a fantastic skin. I’ve had it in the freezer for a month to two months prior to drying it with borax. Those two processes kills any insects like feather mites and feather mite eggs. It’s a good practice to put feathers in the freezer every couple years or so to kill any feather mites. Worst enemy of feathers…outside of your cat! 😅 freezer treatment 48-72 hours minimum.
