The 1st day started with 55 lots of glass MARBLES then about 250 lots of STAR WARS toys & action figures plus Marvel Super Hero action figures & GI Joe with most of the lots consigned by Leonardo DiCaprio. All of the DiCaprio lots are identified in the catalog. Next up were robots & space toys from a variety of collectors (47 lots) & the first day of the 3 day auction ended with the sale of approximately 100 lots of JAPANESE SUPER HERO mechanical toys most from the collection of Carl Lobel (that's me). The lots consigned by me are identified by name in the catalog(Collection of Carl Lobel). Very rare Japanese super heroes in this sale including the 4 boxed tin wind-up flying toys, the 16” tall bat. op. Ultra Man & the 9” wind-up Uran, Masked Rider all in original boxes. The highlight of the second day of the auction was 131 lots of comic character toys & dolls from the Gary Selmonsky collection. I wrote the catalog descriptions for this collection which included a great selection of rare Felix the Cat toys(front cover of catalog pictures Felix Frolic) as well as very desirable 1930s Disneyana(celluloid toys & dolls). The auction ended with a full day of cast iron toys, mechanical banks, doorstops & other figural iron collectibles. The catalog is in excellent condition with some writing inside. I wrote prices realized for many of the comic character lots & the Japanese super hero lots.
