This listing is for a lot of 2 vintage hard-cover early reader books.  They are both part of the Dr, Seuss U can Read beginner book collection published by Random House.  Included in this lot are:
 

The Cat in the Hat -1957 first edition Book Club edition. The popular Dr. Seuss story about two bored children who have their lives turned upside down when a talking cat comes to visit them on a rainy day.
 
Why I Built the Boogle House – Authored by Helen Palmer (Helen Marion Palmer Geisel (known professionally as Helen Palmer), was an American actress, author and wife of children's book writer Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel).  This is the 1964 Book Club Edition.  Illustrations are black and white photographs by Lynn Fayman.  This is a  story about a boy who trades up from a turtle to increasing larger pets, building and modifying larger homes for each of them.  Finally he has a house big enough for a Boogle. What's a Boogle?  Read the book to find out.



Condition:  Used condition. “The Cat in the Hat” has what looks to be mis-glued pages (6&7) or ones that were repaired with a tape we don’t recognize.  They are perfectly aligned with the rest of the pages.  The former owner’s name is written in ink on the first page.  There is slight spine damage and edgewear.  There is light foxing on the pages.  There is light front and back cover wear.  The pages are tight with no rips or tears (other than the repair on pages 6/7).  “Why I Built the Boogle House” has only light edge wear, A tight spine, no foxing, page wear by the spine on the first page, and no writing on any pages,  It is in very good condition for its age.
