Product Description
Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Due to the acquisition by Carlstar Tires, Carlisle tires are now manufactured under the Carlstar banner. For this reason, some Carlisle tires might come with the Carlstar brand name stamped on their sidewalls.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
OVERVIEW
The Carlisle Sport Trail LH is a highway terrain all season tire manufactured for trailers. This tire is NOT MEANT TO BE MOUNTED ON LIGHT TRUCKS, as its construction will not support the weight and performing style of such vehicles. It can ONLY BE MOUNTED ON TRAILERS.
The tire promotes excellent all weather traction. The ribbed tread design and all season compound increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The tread design keeps the tire's road contact at all times, while the compound maintains its flexibility even in colder temperatures. The wide circumferential grooves manage to resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The combination of the hydroplaning prevention and exceptional all weather traction ensure a safer driving experience.
The model offers a fuel efficient drive. The ribbed tread pattern manages to decrease the rolling resistance, which is the pressure affecting the tires that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to keep the tires in motion. The decreased rolling resistance in turn reduces the towing vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. In this manner, the tire is fuel conscious and environmentally friendly at the same times.
The lower rolling resistance also helps to lengthen the tread life. It effectively slows the tread wear rate down while the tires are in motion. This, along with the ribbed tread design's even pressure distribution, actively resists the formation of irregular wear across the tread area. The longer lasting even tread wear ensures an extended tread life and tire usability, making the model more cost efficient as well.
The maintained road contact of the wider shoulder lugs and the ribbed tread pattern boosts the model's controllability. In this manner, the steering responsiveness, the driving stability and the cornering ability are enhanced. The steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the towing vehicle's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tires. The shoulder lugs increase the number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface which ensures a secure cornering ability and power.
The Sport Trail LH offers a quiet drive. The tread design with the siping detail decrease the road noise heard while the tires are in motion. This results is lower road and tread pattern noise levels heard in the vehicle's cabin during the drive, ensuring a comfortable and quiet driving experience.
This is a bias ply or diagonal tire. Due to the tire's internal construction and size, it is possible that the tire will look deformed. Smaller diagonal tires do not have reinforced constructions that can keep the tire from deforming. The bias construction and the small tire's non-reinforced internal structure allow the tire to fold in when it is deflated or not properly inflated. This is not constructional damage or an issue; it is a normal occurrence with such tires. In such cases, the tire needs to be mounted and inflated to the proper PSI or, in some instances, an inner tube needs to be added. The proper PSI and the inner tube are able to maintain the tire's ideal shape, preventing the bias plies from looking deformed. This ensures their performing safety and durability.
The photo is a representation of the tire's possible deformation, it does not represent the specific tire model, size, tread pattern and application.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
