No Substitutes – Yeah the projector headlights that came on the C6 Vette’s were modern back in 2005, but by today’s standards – their light output is dated and it’s hard to argue the modern appeal of the newer C7’s full LED setup! Thankfully the Morimoto XB LED headlights look amazing, OEM quality & construction, an unbeatable 5 year warranty and out-perform the alternatives (and cheap knock-offs). These are the first and last aftermarket headlight assembly option that the C6 Corvette Community needs, because when it comes to headlights: nobody beats Morimoto.
Performance – We’ve always been blown away by the fact that even though the C6 came from the factory with OEM HID headlights, the performance was sub-par. The low quality optics inside the lights were not only poorly designed to begin with, but often lose 50% or more of their intensity over time due to de-lamination of the reflector bowl inside – leaving you with next to no light output to illuminate the road. The good news is that Morimoto’s XB LED headlights produce a well defined beam pattern with a great amount of width, intensity, and a proper distribution of light that will far out-perform even the C7 Corvette’s more modern setup.
DOT Compliant – Make no mistake, these Morimoto XB headlights will produce a much different [better] result vs. slapping LED replacement bulbs into your stock C6 Corvette housings. Their quad-projector optics meet & exceed all SAE, DOT, and FMVSS108 regulations when aimed properly…and that’s easy to do with their integrated vertical/lateral adjusters.
Plug and Play Installation – Wiring is easy too! The Morimoto XB LED headlights are designed to work on your C6 Corvette without any modifications. They plug into the factory Chevrolet connectors for the stock C6 headlights and each assembly includes all necessary connectors, rubber seals, and pigtails for a plug and play installation. No error codes, no flickering, hyper-flashing, or radio interference. They can easily be removed, and will not void your Corvette's factory warranty.
Sequential LED DRL – Game Changer! The XB LED daytime running light is powered by Osram 5000K LEDs and is insanely bright, easily visible during the day. At the top of the housings, a row of amber LED’s provides the turn signal function. You can set them up to run as sequential or solid signals according to your preference.
Well-Built – The OEM-quality UV-coated polycarbonate lenses will resist the test of time, ensuring your Corvette’s headlights will look good as new for many years to come. The PPS plastic housing is light-weight and much stronger than any other market alternatives. The die-cast aluminum heat-sinks inside the housings provide more than an adequate amount of cooling for the OEM grade Osram LED chips that produce the light.
They Look –Amazing. At least in our opinion! The subtle elements incorporated in the Morimoto XB headlight's design are more than enough to make them stand out, but they’re clean enough to be considered top of the line original equipment to those who don’t know any better. All in all, styling that closely resembles the factory C7 Corvette headlights – making these the best way to facelift your C6.
