2004-2009 Toyota Prius 1.5L
Key Features:
High Flow Operation: Our catalytic converters are designed to meet OEM specifications and even better than OEM in performance and appearance. And most importantly, the products have been certified by EPA, featuring a high flow design to increase conversion efficiency and vehicle power without sacrificing flow rate.
Stainless Steel Outshell: The catalytic converter is assembled with a heavy-duty stainless steel body to ensure longer service time and more beautiful appearance, capable of enduring high-temper gases from the exhaust.
Internal Honeycomb Structure: The internal structure of the high flow catalytic converters features honeycomb. They can effectively purify vehicles the waste exhausts by converting pernicious gases, such as CO, HC, NOx into CO₂, H₂O, N₂, to protect the world we are living in better.
Compliance with EPA: The direct-fit catalytic converters are compliant with EPA Standards but not with CARB. So it is illegal to use it on vehicles required to meet CA emission standards, that is in California. With this high-quality converter, it is so easy for your vehicle to meet the Federal Emission Standards.
Vehicle Compatibility: The direct-fit catalytic converter is Compatible for 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 Toyota Prius 1.5L.Please check the fitment detail and OEM number before purchasing, thanks!
Note:
This is a Federal (EPA) compliant part, legal for use on vehicles built to meet Federal EPA standards ONLY.
If your vehicle is registered in CA, NY, CO & ME, do not purchase this part.
If your vehicle meets California requirements, but is not registered in CA, NY, CO & ME, this converter will work on your vehicle.

Features
Built to strict quality control standards 100% factory tested
EPA Federal Standard Certificated
OE quality, great Value with low Cost
Our precisely-built flanges ensure easier bolt-on installation to get the right fit for your exhaust system
The catalytic converter is equipped with a heavy stainless steel body to ensure a longer service life and a more beautiful appearance, and can withstand the high temperature gas from the exhaust.
Catalytic Converters combine efficient industrial design to produce a product that exceeds, rather than meets, the highest standards of product performance and efficiency in the industry.
Its internal ceramic substrate contains highly loaded noble metal catalyst to improve purification efficiency and strength. They can convert harmful gases and effectively purify vehicle exhaust gases.

FIVE CHECKS BEFORE REPLACING A CATALYTIC CONVERTER
Converters don’t fail on their own, complete these five checks before replacing a catalytic converter:
1. Retrieve / repair all PCM trouble codes, check for any available TSBs or PCM re-flash updates
2. Repair all exhaust leaks
3. Make sure vehicle is in proper fuel control
4. Always check for internal coolant leaks and excessive oil consumption
5. Make sure you have the right part for the application
WHY A CATALYTIC CONVERTER FAILS:
Converters don’t fail on their own; failure is usually a symptom of a larger problem. This is why it is important to identify the root cause of the failure and perform the repair prior to installing a new converter. Most catalytic converter failures fall under one of three categories:
Overheated, melted or broken converters
Coated/oil-fouled substrate
Structural damage
DIRECT-FIT VS. UNIVERSAL CONVERTERS:
Universal fit catalytic converters have a customizable design with expandable bushings to adapt to connector pipes based on the repair. They may require specialized fabrication and welding for installation. pre-bent routings hangers and flanges for OE-style direct-fit catalytic converters attach to the exhaust system for a direct-fit bolt-off, bolt-on solution. No matter what you select, all converters must meet the emission requirements of the vehicle and cannot be chosen by size alone.
WHAT TO DO IF CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON?
Troubleshoot an illuminated check engine light by making sure the gas and oil caps are on tight and that the oil dipstick is seated correctly. If the light remains lit, it could be triggered by a faulty oxygen sensor, failing catalytic converter, bad spark plugs, malfunctioning thermostat or bad mass air flow sensor. If the light remains on, make sure to make an appointment with your service provider as soon as possible.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EPA AND CARB CONVERTERS:
EPA-compliant catalytic converters are for use on EPA or Federal emissions certified-vehicles. EPA-compliant catalytic converters cannot be sold or installed in California and Colorado and in certain circumstances in Maine and New York. In those states, you must install a CARB-compliant catalytic converter on CARB emissions certified vehicles in the states of California and Colorado, on all vehicles. CARB-compliant converters contain more catalyst material in order to converter emissions more efficiently and comply with stricter emissions reduction requirements. Check the vehicle’s emissions control information label and consult your state’s aftermarket converter regulations to select the right catalytic converter.
