Presently, yellow dials are experiencing an efflorescence of popularity, emanating a vibrant, sunny and sporty allure. However, the selection for vintage enthusiasts remains relatively sparse. One intriguing exception is this timepiece from an obscure importer of cases and movement that operated in New York during the 1940s/50s. This particular Robot Geneve displays a silver dial that, over the passage of time, has evolved into an enchanting tropical lemon-hued patina. The unique yellow palette harmonizes well with its blued steel handset and a vivid red sweep-seconds hand. An additional feature that enhances its distinctiveness is the robot motif, ingeniously crafted from the "R" in the Robot logo, adding an intriguing element of novelty in this beautiful uncommon timepiece.

Case : unpolished stainless case measuring approximately 32mm (excluding crown) and 40mm from lug-to-lug with 17mm drilled faceted lugs, screw-down caseback, original crown. Acrylic crystal has crazing which you can see from the pictures and video.

Movement : Felsa bidynator automatic movement with 17 jewels.

Dial : original glossy salmon/copper dial with quarter indices in Roman numerals and the rest in gold mirrored baton indices, printed outer minute track with some loss around the 2 to 3 o'clock section, subsidiary register at 6 o'clock position, original blued steel baton handset.
