TASMANIAN BLACKWOOD (BLACK ACACIA) -  Acacia melanoxylon

Nice set of Tasmanian Blackwood. This Tonewood is sometimes considered a lower cost alternative to KOA. I've built a few guitars with this wood and have enjoyed working with it. It's easy to work with, has a beautiful grain and color, and depending on the builder it sounds very much like KOA or a mix of Honduran Mahogany and Rosewood.

This set is a dreadnought size but would include the knots so it is better suitable for a Martin style OM, 00, 000 or classical. It is about 0.175" thick so will need thickness sanding. It is heavy so it will cost slightly more to ship.

I personally love this Tonewood it will always be one of my top three Tonewood's. Black Acacia from Australia is getting very expensive and harder to find in acoustic guitar sets. Grab this set while it last.
