Handmade Afghan Mushwani Runner

This is a brand new authentic Mushwani runner, handmade in Afghanistan.

This is a runner that can be placed mainly in hallways and staircases. But they can also be placed in long floor spaces in any room, including kitchens and bedrooms.

These types of rugs combine flat-weave killim design with soft hand knotted rug pile to create a unique contrast in texture and colour.  The vivid design and colour themes also suit many room colour themes and layouts and gives it a vintage appearance. We also have matching rugs of the same design/colour.

NON-STRAIGHT EDGESSome rugs may not have completely straight edges due the handmade-nature of the rugs and rigorous production process of washing, dyeing and trimming. Usually these are not noticeable from eye-height. They can also be straightened out by professional rug stretchers for a fee.

CREASES: Some rugs may have minor creases due to being folded and stored at our warehouse and also while being folded during postage to you. These are usually flattened out once they are laid out and in the course of normal foot traffic and vacuuming. You can also flatten creases by applying some warm water to the crease and applying gentle heat indirectly over another cloth, such as using an iron on low heat. Do not apply directly to the carpet.

COLOUR: The colours and shades may vary slightly due to the specific angle and lighting when photos are taken. This means that the carpet you receive may look slightly different from the picture. Additionally, carpets naturally have a "light" side and a "dark" side, which is determined by the orientation of the wool pile. This is a characteristic of carpets and should be taken into consideration when choosing a carpet for your space.
