Selling from my Personal Collection. I collected from
1974 – 1992. A lot of what I am offering I collected when they were issued.
Others I bought from a card store that was closing in the mid 90’s. Some I
bought on eBay over the past few years.
Unopened Wax Packs. I would never knowingly sell an opened
pack. I am a collector. This is a hobby, not a profession for me.
Guarantee? Honestly no one can guarantee, even the
grading services. I have been doing this long enough to have a very good idea on
what to look for. Look for heat signatures for a possible re-seal and
especially look to see that the manufacturer’s roller marks line up. If you
hold a pack of cards at an angle in the light, the roller marks should continue
on both sides of the wax.
Why pack-and-a-card? It was 1979. I spent most of my
summer buying wax packs with what little money I had. I lived in Atlanta, and I
wanted the Dale Murphy card. I never got it. There is a sort of let down when
you open a pack of cards and don’t get what you want. I decided to add a card
to minimize that.
