Meet Adaline:

Prior to my homing her, Adaline resided in a home with a single mother and a young female child. The mother bought the doll for her daughter to play with, however she was quickly put back up for sale after the daughter alleged that Adaline was speaking to her, filling her mind with wicked ideas and dark secrets. The daughter’s behavior had started to become erratic and violent, and insisted that Adaline told her to do some of the things that she did. Her mother quickly put Adaline up for sale on marketplace in the hopes that someone would come along and give her a new home. She told me she was afraid to throw her out and said she feared the spirit would come back for revenge.

Through communications with Adaline using my rem pod (a spirit communication device), I discovered that she had a similar situation to the mother and daughter. She too grew up in a house with a single mother. Then, around the age of 7, she started to hear voices — evil ones — and would act on what these voices were telling her to do. The mother became very afraid and ended up dropping her off at an asylum, hoping the doctors would be able to silence the voices and cleanse her daughter’s mind.

After months of medications and trying to help Adaline, the doctors finally made the extreme decision to preform a lobotomy, believing that it could cure her of the voices and delusions that plagued her. Sadly the procedure went horribly wrong, leaving Adaline in a vegetative state. She passed away shortly after.

Adaline is a symbol of unspoken horrors, and a reminder of the darkness that can lurk within innocence.

Her vessel stands at approximately 19“ inches tall.
