WWI US or British? Brown leather jerkin vest.  This is a used but not abused period original piece so bid with confidence.  These never have been common.  There is a tag in the neck, but it is hard to read but looks like you can make out a 1917 and Collins, I think.  The leather is soft and supple but has a snag or two but nothing serious.  It is cracking some on the top back but nothing that serious.  You hardly ever see these and think this is only the third one I have owned in 45 years so bid away my friends.
