1.  The pictures provided in the auction are the actual pictures of the item being auctioned.  They are taken with a professional camera (Nikon) and can be zoomed to show the detailed condition of the item. Examine them closely as they depict the actual condition of the item.  See the condition statement for clarification.  Additionally, I honor requests for additional photos.

 

2. Prior to sale, all Items are stored in a climate-controlled & smoke free storage facility in south-central (dry) Texas.  Most items are treated to remove odors, some dust/dirt, residue and bacteria/virus. Detailed cleaning, alignment, firmware upgrade, modification removal and maintenance is left to the new owner.

3.  Vintage items are frequently listed for Parts or Not Working.  These items will normally need some form of repair, alignment and/or cleaning.  These items when jostled in shipping may exhibit operational problems that were not present when tested on our workbench.

4. Lower 48 and Ebay Global Shipping only.  AK, HI & USA Territories shipping always is very expensive (buyers frequently pay 2 to 4 times the fixed rate).

  a. If a purchase is made that is outside of the lower 48 States, US Protectorate or an International location not serviced by the eBay International Shipping Program, the buyer is responsible for paying the amount above the fixed rate.

  

  b. We re-use/recycle packing materials, boxes, bubble-wrap and unwanted furniture foam whenever possible. Items over $300 are typically shipped in new double or tri-wall heavy duty boxes.

5.  Original boxes, manuals, accessories, and packing are not included if not described and pictured.  Test equipment, accessories not specifically identified in the item description, and other items pictured are not included.  

6. Paper items, manuals, & instructions may have writing, stains, creases and/or some pages may be torn/missing. Some may have additional notes, updated information & information not pertaining to the equipment it is supposed to cover.  Written material is not included if it is not listed in the description.  Computer media, software, firmware, compact discs, drives is not normally tested & not warranted.

7.  Complex equipment or items that require additional cables, manuals, software and/or equipment are tested by built-in test equipment, if available, and on-site capability only.  See the item description for tested functions.  

8.  Vintage electronics items are frequently repainted, and the quality and condition may vary from the original finish.  Items may have been in a smoking environment at some point in their history. 

  a. Modifications and non-original parts may be installed in this equipment.

  

  b. Battery powered equipment may have had battery leaks/issues in the past. HT batteries are normally the vintage of the radio and should be expected to perform as age appropriate, i.e., less capacity than new.  Removeable batteries, Built-in chargers, power supplies and CMOS (memory batteries) are untested & unwarranted. A replacement battery may be required to meet user expectations.

  c.  Consider all items to be used and show signs of use. This may include scratches, wear, chips, cracks, corrosion and dust.  In order to meet your full expectations these items may need tune up, cleaning, replacement batteries (internal & external), indicator or meter lights, accessory items, vacuum tubes, dial cords, cables & other accessories, manuals and/or instructions and other minor items/adjustments/repair/parts.

 

  d. Basic functions are tested, where possible, but not all functions are tested.  Basic functions are detailed in the description above and are the only warranted functions of this item.

  e. Hams will be hams - Prior owners may have performed mods, updates or repairs that were not noticed or described. 

  f. Computer connectivity (Rig control, D-Star, C4FM, DMR etc.) is untested and unwarranted due to the differing software required for internet capable products.   Frequently on applicable electronics, the new owner will need to perform required software upgrade(s).

   g. Potiometers are notorious for being noisy and scratchy sounding even when cleaned prior to shipment - they may require additional cleaning by the buyer.

10. Items are paid via PayPal to complete the auction.  Please pay at purchase or when you receive an invoice. Local pick-up items are paid via PayPal prior to pick up.

11. Returns are not accepted.

12.  Taxes are collected by eBay depending upon the State you are in.

13.  Method of shipment may vary from listed offering depending upon which method mutually benefits each one of us.  This is done mainly to protect your investment with insurance coverage.  Some methods don't include the $100 minimum insurance coverage.
