Detective Comics #85 (1944) - Golden Age Joker cover 6 big stories: Batman and Robin vs. Joker, Air Wave, Crimson Avenger, Three Ring Binks, Slam Bradley and Boy Commandos by Simon and Kirby!

Very Good- 3.5 condition.

Front Cover in very good condition.  Minor tears on top and bottom edges. Crease on bottom corner.  Colors still very vibrant, with no stains or random markings.  Spine is flat, with some tearing in the middle at the single staple.  However, cover has separated from single staple. Interior of cover shows a piece of tape was used to repair at the staple. We believe this repair attempt was done pre-1970.  Due to war rations, many comic books during 1944-45 only had one staple. Some minor fraying on top and bottom of spine. There are tears where cover was attached to staple. Interior pages are in remarkably good condition.  No tears, chips, folds or stains. Images are bright and crisp.  Paper is flexible, and uniformly creamy from aging.  All pages are intact. Some minor ink smudges on inside cover.  Back cover has some minor tears and discoloration along bottom edge.  (Please see photos)

No known professional restoration. Only attempted repair is the aforementioned tape on inside cover.
